I painted this from a photo reference on sktchy. I just loved her slight smile and inquisitive look. I took on the challenge of teeth (!) which is rare for me and I'm happy with the way it turned out. A friend at work purchased her before the painting was even dry!

It's always nice to have a few white flowers mixed in with dark ones when painting a still life. These two are only a phone call away from each other. : )

My second piece from the awesome Peggy's Cove (just south west of Halifax, Nova Scotia.) I titled it 'bejeweled' since there are so many hidden little wonders amongst the boats. 
Below is a pic of my thumbnail sketch done in charcoal pencil on newsprint. My thumbnails are usually actual size, so this sketch is also 12x6".
