inquisitive smile

SOLD
6x6" original oil painting on 1"deep panel

I painted this from a photo reference on sktchy. I just loved her slight smile and inquisitive look. I took on the challenge of teeth (!) which is rare for me and I'm happy with the way it turned out. A friend at work purchased her before the painting was even dry!

I'll call you

$60 - 6x6" original oil painting with 1" deep painted sides
It's always nice to have a few white flowers mixed in with dark ones when painting a still life. These two are only a phone call away from each other. : )

party pack

SOLD
Next month I'll be seeing the awesome amazing Lisa Daria do a demo. I'm sooo excited! She's an incredible daily painter. Meanwhile, I'm brushing up (pun intended) on my 6x6" flower paintings in anticipation. Woo Hoo!

bejeweled

SOLD
$90 - original 12x6" oil painting on 1"deep wooden panel

My second piece from the awesome Peggy's Cove (just south west of Halifax, Nova Scotia.) I titled it 'bejeweled' since there are so many hidden little wonders amongst the boats.
Below is a pic of my thumbnail sketch done in charcoal pencil on newsprint. My thumbnails are usually actual size, so this sketch is also 12x6".

hidden corner

SOLD
$60 - original 6x6" oil painting on 1"deep wooden panel
My first piece since returning from the breathtakingly beautiful Nova Scotia. This beautiful turquoise boat was hiding behind a lovely gray building at Peggy's Cove. Such a mesmerizing place.
