early valentines

SOLD
$100 - 6x6" original oil painting on 1" deep panel. Sides painted to match.

These two cutie patootie daisies are getting cozy. They're already thinking about the next holiday - Valentine's Day. Thanks for the photo reference Carol over on DailyPaintworks! I haven't done a challenge in a while so - great to be inspired by a photo. Love the yellow and turquoise combo!

Paint Over!

SOLD -  8x8" original gouache painting.
This second picture is of an old watercolour painting. I didn't like the charcoal lines, the lost shapes in the flowers or the boring flat red of the strawberries. So, I painted over it with gouache, which was a pleasure since the drawing was all done for me! The flowers ended up pink... I keep getting a lot of pink in my gouache paintings. Not sure why. Oh, I guess I'm using too much red. Haha.

spring circle

$60 - 5x7"original watercolour painting with 8x10"mat

These friends are enjoying early spring!
I chose white flowers because I was in the mood for a dark background. And I added a few cherries to keep them company.

loosey-goosey

$60 - 5x7"painting with 8x10"mat
Very happy with how wet and drippy this one turned out. I love watercolours that look the way only a watercolour can look.
