People's Choice Award!

Well, I'm super duper happy about receiving the People's Choice Award at the Life Drawing Art Show yesterday!! Lots of people showed up, despite the freezing cold, so thanks to all those who came by and said Hi! The ice sculptures happening across the way were a nice surprise to everyone's day!

 Also... I sold one. A fellow artist bought this one during the hanging of the show. It's great to see some red dots. There were about 10 by the end of the opening. 
The show is still happening until March 1st!

Toronto East Rotary Arts & Crafts Show

Another fantastic year at the Toronto East Rotary Arts and Crafts Show! I had cards and crochet birds bookending my table of oil paintings. ; ) I'm very happy to say that many items have gone to new homes.

Art Show and Artists at Work!

This Wednesday May 2 is the opening for the Don Valley Art Club Art Sale at Todmorden Mills - 67 Pottery Road, Toronto! I'll be there from 7-9pm. 

Also (!) on Sunday May 6 from 2-5pm, a bunch of us will be at the gallery painting portraits. We plan to sit for each other for 25 minutes. So you can come out and see the art AND the artists at work. Everyone Welcome! Free!

I am very proud to have received the Bronze Award at the Toronto Watercolour Society Aquavision Show today for my "Portrait of Frank!" Super happy about it!

Also, I just finished a three day workshop with the lovely watercolour artist Rex Beanland, hosted by Toronto Watercolour Society. Learned a lot about mixing watercolour to the consistency of tea, coffee, milk, cream and butter!

Great Art Show!

Well, thanks to this fantastic mild November we are having, lots of people were out enjoying the weather yesterday. The walk through traffic at our Toronto East Rotary Art Show was pretty constant. Great mood and energy all day. Made some new friends too! Until next year. Happy Painting Everybody!

Riverdale Art Show 2015

The weather was fantastic this weekend and as a result we had lots of visitors to the Withrow Park Clubhouse for our art show. You can see from the first pic that the high windows make this a lovely well lit venue. Many thanks to all the supporters for their kind words. And purchases! Yippee! My bear painting just got accepted into the Willowdale Group of Artists Juried Show here in Toronto. My second submission was also accepted but I haven't taken a photo of it yet. I'll post it soon.
