paint box

I've been doing a lot of urban sketching/plein-air painting with my trusty little paintbox. : ) It fits my Winsor & Newton travel watercolour palette perfectly and I can clip watercolour paper, up to 9x12", onto it. : ) It sits on my lap while I sit on a cheap aluminum camping stool. A lot more discreet and lightweight than a big easel.

  1. You always give your paintings so much character Nora. Can you tell us what colours you are using please?

  2. I am building a similar paintbox. Am curious how you hold up the lid with the paper on it, when painting. I don't see any straps.

  4. I'm intrigued to know what the box is. Is it a box file you bought from a stationary store or did you make it yourself?

I've been following your blog for some time I love your style there is a lovely British word for it - Quirky!!
