I painted this urban sketch for the DailyPaintworks 'Cloud' Challenge. I love to capture a moment in time, which is what clouds are all about!

Even cold winds and rain won't keep artists from life drawing class!
Also, since my watercolours are about line and colour, it's been back to basics in my sketchbook, concentrating on values in charcoal.

Here we all are at Life Drawing. Working hard. Being an artist doesn't get easier... it just veers and swerves like you're driving along a winding road! Fun, but keep your hands on the wheel!
Also, a pic from yesterday's show which went great. Lots of awesome artists and great weather for November(!)so lots of walk through traffic. Happy with my sales and very inspired by the many heart felt compliments.

I'll be selling my one-long-line drawings, as well as watercolours, at the Toronto East Rotary Show tomorrow (310 Danforth Ave. at Chester). Hopefully there won't be any left over (!) but if there are, I'll sell them here from my blog next week. Cute colourful frames included!

When I saw these two motorcycles, they just struck me as things that wanted to be painted. So...
$50 - 5"x7"painting with 8"x10"matt.

$60 - 5x7" painting with 8x10" mat.
I love painting hair in watercolour, so I was quite happy when Lisa showed up for portrait drawing with her hair in a braid.
|Painting arrives in 8"x10" matt, ready for store bought or custom made frame.|

This 5"x7" watercolour painting is on 1/8" board (just like Gessobord, but for watercolour) which means no glass needed! Just frame it as is.

I spent the weekend in a group art show selling my one-long-line drawings. I put them in colourful frames and they make wonderful gifts. Each one is different, and you can see the dot where I started and stopped.

I got a chance to do a longer study on this one, which was great. I love short poses and sketching but it's important to do more involved longer paintings too.
