I've been painting on hot-pressed paper lately. Due to the smooth texture the paint sits on top of the paper, unlike cold pressed which absorbs the paint slightly. As a result, I think the watercolour keeps it's colour and glows more. I also like the way the pencil glides across this paper. I think I'll stick with it!

Another cafe sketch. I enjoy trying to capture the moment by designing the page with simplicity. I liked his light green shirt next to her red top. Also, I pretended that big post wasn't behind them, and it was just the windows.

I was sketching from a cafe, across the street from this overpass, enjoying the light behind the people as they went under. This adorable dog went through and I just had to include him. Once finished, I thought a signature on the right would be distracting, so I signed it on the left.
