Here's the painting from yesterday's Zoom Watercolour Painting Class. It went great. The artists who joined me, and painted along, really embraced the "lots of colour" approach. We also talked about painting white objects on white paper with watercolour, which is tricky. They were a very attentive talented group.

I'm thinking my next class might be in oil! #hmmm

I recently took a flower arranging class! I've been interested in doing this for some time. We made a huge bouquet which was lovely, but sooo big. Once I got it home, I decided to make many small bunches from it and take the week to paint each one. Here's the first. #woohoo

In this Zoom Online Watercolour Class we will explore flowers with watercolour. We'll draw and paint together, learning about composition, the importance of warm and cool colours, painting white flowers, and finally, adding a simple background for a clean bright flower painting.

The class includes a PDF at the end! It will not be recorded. 

Some Watercolour Painting experience is suggested.

Please be familiar with Zoom before attending.

PAINTING SUPPLIES

PAPER

I'll be using Fluid 9x12" Hot-Pressed Paper. Feel free to bring the paper you are familiar with. Cold-Pressed is fine.

PAINT

I use Winsor & Newton and/or Holbein Tube Paints. 

Yellow Ochre

Permanent Rose (Rose Madder Genuine or Aliz. Crimson)

Cad. Red

Cerulean Blue

Cobalt Violet

Ultramarine Blue

Burnt Umber

BRUSHES

Use the brushes you like and are familiar with.

I use synthetic pointy brushes size 8. 

Loew-Cornell 7020 Ultra Round.

OTHER
