Today I thought, why not tone the paper before painting on it, like with a canvas before applying oil paint. Normally you don't with watercolour but, bing, lightbulb... I used white gouache and hot pink watercolour first! Then pen and ink. Of course, lightbulb is the topic of the DPW Challenge too.

The background really works, and the line around containing it. The light bulb is great, so individual, and it's alter ego really makes the picture. Love it.
