One of my New Year's Drawing Resolutions is to do some fabric studies. I need the practice since, at life drawing there is always fabric draped behind the model which can be just as intimidating as the figure.
I love this one. And can relate, often when I am into the figure, its everything else thats the trouble. Fabric studies on their own can be so beautiful and satisfying.

For me there is nothing more difficult to paint than draping fabric, especially with a pattern. Way to trust your eye here, Nora. Lovely work!
