Kaila

When I get home from a life drawing session there is always a question of whether or not I should touch up my paintings. But I always decide not to since the painting experience for each piece is over now. It was done from life and it should remain so.

  1. I agree...let it be...it is beautiful. I have to tell you about your racoon...just recently a cell phone co. here is using a racoon as their logo and he is doing all kinds of things...talking on his phone, eating....they would love your guy:)

  3. Ciao Nora, I have the same problem and generally I decide to paint over again and often I through away all; But I think that it is ok the same because everything is experience!
I love always your colour and people and animals... your animals are so friendly and nice!

  4. I think you are right. There is a spontanity in your still lifes and even faults enhance the painting. If things are too perfect, flawless, it feels less real and alive, not as interesting. Another great snapshot.

  8. I like the spontaneity of this, lovely. Occasionally, I change something, add colors or lines to a life drawing, but most often, I leave mine alone, too.

  17. Hi! I am so glad you found my blog because now I can follow yours! Your watercolors are so lovely, I like your style, all washes and color overlays. That bit of red in this painting really made it interesting.

    Enjoy the holiday!

  19. Lovely profile ! I know what you mean about leaving a painting alone away from the subject but, if I see a glaring mistake I have to fix it and I guess it's a little easier to do if you work in oils

  20. I've gotten into this terrible habit of visiting on my phone and not commenting of late because it takes so darned long. But I could have sworn I commented on this one. It is excellent!
