An interesting change from your recent work but what it underlines ia the fact that all of your work is underpinned by very strong technique. A great portrait.
Fabulous! Color choice and placement is perfect! Love your style. Jealous that you have access to portrait painting classes. Here in California they are few and far between. Show us some more of your wonderful work!!
I envy you, I would love to have some classes, but non available that you can just show up too. This is another loose lovely spontaneous painting of yours. Well done.
Great job on the shading on his face!!! My am portrait group starts up again next Thursday, and luckily for me they changed the meeting day so it doesn't conflict with my plein air group. Can't wait to see more of your portraits.
Wow Nora, your sister plays a harp with a floral decoration - (picture please?) - is it a pedal or lever harp? Too much I expect to hope it's a Pilgrim Harp as I don't think we have made many for yur part of the world. Thanks for you kind words on my blog; looking at your artwork I'm afraid mine is rather too careful and deliberate - I so admire your ability to create paintings with such life and spotaneity - I'm blown away by these!!
Dear Nora: I admire this amazing portrait,a with a so special touch!A strong feeling tied to the psychology of the character and the softness of the background ...I love it!
I like the placement of the main figure to the side . Very nice.
