A few 20 minute portrait studies from life drawing session today.
I've just added cobalt turquoise to my palette, since being influenced by the fantastic watercolourist Shirley Trevena. It's a bit green but I had lots of fun with it.
The challenge of painting white with watercolour is always an enjoyable mission, and a little clementine came by to see what all the excitement was about.
This still life is from a wonderful photo over at the StillLifeWorkshop Challenge. I may revisit it since the photo has lots of potential. This is only one corner of it!
I had a wonderful week doing artist trading cards. Thank you Gloria, Carlene, Sarah, Lyn and Dan for the wonderful trades! I'm looking forward to getting my mail!
TRADED
p.s. people have asked about my line. It's a 1.3mm mechanical pencil from the art store - no sharpening : )
