I love watercolour however, at times I miss oil painting because I really like toning the canvas first, which you don't do with watercolour... or do you?! I did today! I put a wash of ivory black and cerulean watercolour down, drew with a micron pen, added more paint and finally, some white gouache. Super happy with this fella!
$90 for set of 3 - 5x7" watercolour painting includes 8x10"mat.
Perfect.. Wonderful result. Thetoning does give this extra interest too.

ReplyDeleteExcellent - and a real neat effect it is! Cool drawing too. It's funny - I just read an interview with an illustrator who always tones his paper first with an ochre, I think, and I was planning on trying it - now I've really got to try!
ReplyDeleteLike it a lot..
ReplyDeleteThis is sensational Nora! I'm so glad you tried the app.... Toning the paper first was a winner!
