with a song in my heart

Another JoJo portrait. I used this same technique at my last portrait drawing class however, the model was a woman and these dark washes didn't flatter her. Perhaps I'll try warmer colours with the ivory black when painting females.
$90 set of three - 5x7" watercolour painting with 8x10"mat.

    I've quite fallen in love with Jojo, do tell us who he is.
    The gentle blue highlighting his figure is so subtle yet so dramatic, and the skin tones are lovely. Look forward to more in this style.

    I am a super fan of these cooler tones and suspect that you think they do not flatter women may be more of a personal choice...I think they would be lovely! I really do love this JoJo series and think they would look amazing all hung together somewhere! He looks such a fine character! Is he a personal friend or acquaintance?

    This is a nice series you have going. Like the limited color palette. Interesting how you felt that it didn't suit a female model, will be interesting to see if warm colors will do the trick.
