July morning shadow

Well, I took a watercolour workshop at the Toronto Watercolour Society with the awesome Janet Rogers, and today I decided to retry her lesson... no pencil drawing first! Just start with your brush. I like the challenge and it certainly encourages a looseness however, given my love of line, think I'll stick with my drawing style.
Other news, turn your old eye makeup kit into a watercolour palette. Now that's portable!

  1. This painting is really beautiful. So loose. Kind of liquid. I love it.

  3. Oh please Nora, don't give up your own style, it is so much nicer! I don't want to insult Janet Rogers and am sure she makes wonderful work, but your style is so amazing!!

  5. Great idea on making the portable watercolor kit. I like your pieces with line a bit more myself but this is still beautiful, Nora.
