Still having a blast using the Copic Markers value 30% and 70%, along with a black Micron 3 pen. Each title came to me as I was drawing, which you can see under the sketch.

I bought a book titled "Value Sketching with Markers" by Darrell Anderson online. (This link includes sample pages). It's just wonderful and very inspiring! It's about doing value sketches, something I can loose sight of since I'm so into line and colour. Hence the sketch below...

in the mood for a memory

Now, I know Billy Joel's "Piano Man" lyrics are ...'son can you play me a memory' and 'we're all in the mood for a melody' but as a kid I always got it wrong and reversed them. I kinda prefer it my way(!), hence the title of this painting. Click on image to enlarge.
