sailing

SOLD
$60 - 6x6" original oil painting on 1" deep panel.
Today I decided to do something different... like Teddi Parker's Balloon Challenge. Her work is amazing and her stuff, like mine, is available through Daily Paintworks. Balloons made out of metallic foil are way more fun to paint than regular balloons, probably because the surface is so reflective. Fun!

Portrait Sketch

$100 - 6x6" original oil painting on wooden panel
My collection of 6x6 inch portrait paintings is growing. They look cool hanging in 9 by 9 rows. Groups of paintings always ask the viewer to make comparisons that you might not make when looking at only one painting. And, I'm having a wonderful time painting them. ; )

I love back lighting! The pink flowers are so delicate that the light bounced right through them, while the lemon showed the light bouncing back onto it. So fun!
Sides are painted grey.

Fishing - Paint Over

Here's my last Instagram story.
I thought I'd share it here for those of you who aren't 'into' Instagram.
I bought this lovely red glass fishing float over the holidays. It's a tough object to pair this another still life object but somehow this little fish made the cut.
So, I had this pink haired portrait but it just didn't have enough 'oomph'. (I may try painting it in oil again.) In the meantime...
 HERE'S THE FINAL PAINTING ; )

I'll call you

$60 - 6x6" original oil painting with 1" deep painted sides
It's always nice to have a few white flowers mixed in with dark ones when painting a still life. These two are only a phone call away from each other. : )

north-northwest

Thought I'd continue exploring the watermelon theme.  Computer screens don't really like red, but that won't stop me from painting with it!
