This little eyeshadow case that I converted into a watercolour palette is wonderful. It really enables me to sit and paint anywhere and at any time.

the hotdog stand

SOLD

I started this drawing with the stop sign and worked my way up the tree to the hot dog stand. Suddenly a cyclist showed up so I quickly put him in.

Then I got a wood panel from the art store,
I lightly sanded the front and back.
I sprayed the painting 3 times with Krylon UV-Resistant Gloss, which is a clear acrylic coating. It is non-yellowing, moisture resistant and protects against UV light rays. Then I adhered the painting to the panel with non-toxic Weldbond.
This is the Krylon product that Aquabord (same company that makes Gessobord) recommends for watercolours that are not under glass.

I'm very happy with the professional look of presenting watercolour this way.

a passing moment

Looking out the 3rd floor window to the morning passers below.

I've got my watercolour paintings adhered to supports now, just like Aquabord! Super happy with the way they look. They are open in the back and can be hung easily.
Kingfisher on 1" support
Maria Bennett Hock bought the Kookaburra I painted and she sure is happy with hers! It is moisture-resistant with a UV Gloss.
